Very nice ! Thank you, thank you, thank you for not using to much reverb and just banging on the A pedal like 95% of self described alternative steel playing ;)
With your recording It seems like the music comes first and the pedalsteel is a unique voice that helps to express it.
Again, very well done !

Thanks Bob.

We're certainly on the same page regarding reverb (!!) and yes, the not very alternative use of pedals on the pedal steel in 'alt' steel. I paid for 7 pedals so I try and get my money's worth...simple as that. Regarding reverb (lack of) you might be interested in another of my other (almost totally ignored...well they all are to be fair) albums. Nothing but very raw steel on this one and many pedals and levers used. It was hard to do and, no doubt, hard to listen too; but I enjoyed it at the time.

Thanks again...it keeps me going.

...Also, in truth, the title of the album "Alternatives" was actually referring to the alternative tunings I was using on the 6-string. The reference to alt-steel was more of an additional ironic gesture. I don't think my playing really fits into that category as it exists at the moment. But then I don't really listen to alt-anything as such...I just listen to stuff as it comes along.
