PSA: Sonicake Sonic IR Speaker cab simulator IR loader/DI box on sale

Post by Mike Neer »

It is Amazon Prime Week (whoopty-doo) and I finally found something I can use that is on sale: The Sonicake Sonic IR pedal. Joe Rogers was really singing the praises of this simple, inexpensive pedal for taking the IR responsibilities outside of the Tonex pedal, enabling the speaker to be translated in a more 3-dimensional way. I just ordered one for myself and I know that Joe recently updated some of his speaker IRs specifically for these purposes and I am looking forward to hearing it in action. It also functions as a DI with an XLR out.

Here is the link to Amazon--it is on sale now for $47.99: https://amzn.to/4lGW5oW

The Sonic Cake IR box is killer! Get with Joe Rogers for Steel Speaker IRs. He has got tons of hours creating these IRs and they’re all KILLER. He created multiple of my 100% original JBL D130. I bought it still wrapped in the box, NOS. Best D130 IR out there. He has a great library of IRs! You can contact Joe Here on the forum.

If you're going direct to front of house or recording using any of the modelers, I would suggest getting a Sonicake Sonic IR as I am putting the finishing touches on a brand new IR package that incorporates AI into the speaker IRs. I keep wanting to put a period on this particular 4-month IR creation project, but I kept uncovering new techniques. I will be posting about the new IR package in the New Products section within the next day or two.

I have also been experimenting with the new Tonex cab and it is quite an efficient unit as well....hold 8 Cab IR's and the XLR out (to front of house or recording) sounds great...!!

Stay tuned....
