Valeton GP-5
Is there anyone out there using a Valeton GP-5? I bought one and have spent the last 4 days trying to get the thing to work on my android phone on my tablet and on my computer and nothing. I get as far as installing the software "Valeton Suite" but then nothing, it lists the patches but I can't edit them. There is no installation instructions, there is only one video instruction on Youtube but can't understand what the guy is saying. When I try to install it I keep getting messages saying there are files missing (.dll) and when I try to install the missing .dll files it says I can't. I know they are a great bit of gear when they are working but this is driving me nuts. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Dave.

I am probably going to pre-order one. They sold out fast. Keep us updated. If you get it working I am curious if it has a looper? I couldn't confirm from the several videos I watched. I don't think the app is compatible with Android. I downloaded it no problem on my iPhone.
These are kind of the rage in the guitar world right now, trying to steal some thunder from Tonex. This seems to be exactly what I was looking for, but I have thought that before. I do like the size and the price, and it seems to do everything my much larger unit does. I will probably only use it for a fraction of what it is capable of.

Doesn't seem to be much interest for these here, but keep us posted. I sold my GP-200LT and this little guy seems like a good replacement. I decided I don't need 4 foot switches and would rather use my iPhone or iPad for editing. It will sit right on the corner of my guitar. I find the Valeton amp sims and effects to be good enough. It seems it should work on Android, they are still working out the bugs through firmware updates. Could have trouble on older devices.

If you didn't already buy the Pocketmaster or are looking at Tonex One you might consider one of these. Just got mine today! $79.99 from Valeton, but you can order it on Amazon now as well. The App downloaded in seconds and it connected right up to the device. Works with iPad or phone. All I have done is scroll through the 50 presets which are mostly distortion. I found a few I like with a couple tweaks. I made a quick clean patch (very easy to figure out) and am happy with the sound through headphones. Tomorrow when the wife is gone I will try it in front of my amp.
I already love this little thing because it can be used like a full rig or a Swiss army knife on a pedalboard. It is tiny and is much more useful than a headphone amp and cheaper than the nice ones. I find the software extremely easy to use, actually the whole device is pretty easy to figure out in a few minutes. My last multi effects pedal gave me anxiety every time I would try to use it, I would get lost in the functions and spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to use it. This pedal lacks a looper, but it has everything else the larger unit had for the most part. I am going to use this little guy a lot! Probably mostly as a tuner lol!
