Be careful Roger or someone will pop up here and say it's their Daddy or Uncle or Brother in law who used to play all those Jerry Byrd licks just like Jerry did...I got taken for a ride like that with some Clyde Moody and Jerry Byrd music I posted !!
Perhaps I should take consolation in the fact that, at least at my age, I can still tell the difference. But then my Dad could play all those Byrd sounds and he did it on a zither...
Regards, Paul

Re: Rex Allen W/Jerry Byrd
I was just at a Web: and there was "no indication of Rex Allen and Jerry Byrd". And a few minutes; they changed it! LOL
Well I do KNOW that Rex Allen WANTED Jerry Byrd to be his Steel Guitar; every time he was Recorded. And we have even Records many times! And Rex: felt that was NO other Steel Guitar; would be with his Songs.
And the Sad thing with Jerry: was Scotty calling me and saying, "Jerry is dying"!
Oh yes. He was in the Hospital in Hawaii! So I called him: to how I loved; and would prayer. But, he was so bad...
But a few days, he was gone. And I've cried untold since; and May Jesus rest his precious Soul, AMEN!
